A steady place to land as you find your way forward.

Therapy rooted in presence, empathy, and genuine human connection.

Welcome!

A smiling woman with long blonde hair, wearing a white shirt, blue jewelry, and a brown belt, standing outdoors in front of greenery and a white fence.

If you’re here, there’s likely a part of you that’s tired of pushing through and holding it all together. Maybe anxiety, burnout, or past experiences have begun to feel heavier, or harder to manage on your own. As a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I offer a supportive space for individual counseling, both in-person and through telehealth, where you don’t have to do it all alone.

In this space, we slow things down. Together, we listen to what your mind, body, and nervous system are communicating. Therapy here is not about fixing you, it’s about creating enough safety, compassion, and understanding for healing to unfold at your own pace.

Meet Lauren!
A woman with long hair smiling and laughing while standing on a dirt pathway in a park, wearing a white blouse, blue jeans, and turquoise jewelry, surrounded by green trees.

At the heart of my work is a belief that healing happens when you feel safe, understood, and not alone in what you’re carrying.

Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who have spent a long time pushing through, often at the expense of their own well-being.

I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, and burnout through trauma-informed therapy. My approach is relational and paced with care. Rather than rushing toward solutions, we focus on creating enough safety for your nervous system to settle and for your story to unfold in a way that feels manageable.

I have training in EMDR, parts work (ego state therapy), and sandtray therapy, which allows us to work both gently and deeply. Whether meeting in person in Lake Charles, Louisiana, or through secure telehealth, I place a strong emphasis on helping you understand your experiences, especially how your nervous system has adapted in order to survive, so that insight and healing can feel accessible rather than overwhelming.

Above all, I strive to offer a steady, empathetic presence. My role is not to fix you, but to sit with you in the uncomfortable places, help you feel seen and understood, and support you as you find your way forward.

My Services

The support I offer is grounded in presence, safety, and genuine human connection.

  • I provide individual therapy for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, burnout, grief, relational issues and emotional overwhelm. Our work is collaborative and paced with care, creating space to slow down, understand what’s happening within your nervous system, and explore experiences that may still be shaping how you feel or relate today.

Sessions may include trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR, parts work, and sandtray therapy, always guided by what feels supportive and appropriate for you. These methods help you process experiences in a way that feels contained and manageable, often by working with the body and emotions, not just words. Not every approach is used with every client. We decide together what feels most supportive.

  • I approach couples therapy from a systemic perspective, meaning we look at the patterns, dynamics, and emotional cycles that develop between partners rather than focusing on one person as the problem. Often, these patterns are shaped by stress, past experiences, and each partner’s nervous system.

Our work together focuses on slowing things down, increasing emotional safety, and helping both partners feel seen and understood. With greater awareness and support, couples can begin responding to one another with more clarity, compassion, and connection.

  • I will be offering group therapy in collaboration with SOULSHINE Counseling + Wellness. Groups will be thoughtfully designed to provide a supportive, relational space for connection, regulation, and shared understanding.

Details will be shared as groups become available. You’re welcome to check back here or reach out if you’d like to be notified when groups begin.
